Khetaram is a postman in the Rajasthan desert — khaki uniform his only protection against scorching winds and sandstorms. Delivers letters across arid land. Theme: Dedication, service, connecting people across distances.

Has/have + past participle. Three uses: (1) Finished action with present result: "She has found her book." (2) Recently completed: "I have just eaten." (3) Life experience: "Have you ever seen a play?" From Ch 7 grammar section.

Letter from Ming's mother about pursuing dreams. Key message: Dreams need stamina, sacrifice and time. "By all means follow that dream." But consider the years, costs, and obstacles. After all obstacles — if conviction still burns, go ahead.

Compound word: dream + scape (a view or scene of). The landscape of one's dreams — the vision, the people involved, the journey. From Ch 8: "The people who are participants in your dreamscape would be many more."
